Your Name: Lindsay Bonnar

Do they have a favorite exercise to do with you? Just the burpees and squat jumps while in the womb 🙂 (I was afraid that is what it would take to get her to sleep! Fortunately this is not the case.)

Do they have any favorite healthy foods? So far just what Kevin and I call her “Boob Juice”

Do you have any tricks to get your kids to eat healthier foods or make healthier choices? I am hoping that by only feeding her good foods and not even introducing the bad foods early on will mean I don’t have to trick her! But I can be sneaky if I need to be…

As you have learned more about health and wellness, what goals do you have for your family and children? I really want Charlie to grow up being connected with where her food comes from. I believe that connection is incredibly important and makes us appreciate real food more. I plan to invlove her in the cooking of meals as she grows up, and would really love to eventually have a bit of our own land where we can grow and raise a lot of our own food. (Kids should know eggs come from chickens butts and not be grossed out by it!)

What obstacles have you overcome as a mother to maintain your health and wellness? I am admittadly a bit of a control freak. Learning to let go of certain things (about my body and the cleanliness of my house) during pregnancy, and trust that I was doing the right things for myself and my baby, was really really hard for me!

In a more general sense, my biggest obstacle has been approaching my loved ones with the knowledge I have obtained. When I first decided to implement the diet Eupraxia teaches, I cleaned out the cupbaords while Kevin was out of town. Empty cupboards + ususpecting husband = crabby husband! I have since learned that the best approach is to continue to live by example and let my family come to their own decisions.

How and why has being a member at Eupraxia impacted your roll as a mother and/or wife? I first started my journey in this field about two and a half years ago. I can’t even IMAGINE how different my preganancy and goals would have been before this! Through Eupraxia, Steve has taught me so much, that my entire lifes path has changed for the better! I feel like I can help guide my family down a path that will not just allow us to survive this life, but truly live life to our full potential!

Dr. Steve says to have a purpose for staying healthy. How do you make your children a part of this purpose?I lost my dad far too early in life. This has been a huge drive for me, Now that little Charlie is here, this purpose and drive has been more than doubled. I live my life each day focused on making sure I am here to watch her grow, chase her around the yard and keep up with her throughout her entire youth, until she give me grandchildren so I can do it all over again with them!

How have you passed on what you have learned at Eupraxia to your children?

I feel like I was able to start passing on my knowledge to her from the moment Kev and I decided we wanted a baby! I was able to take the time to stay fit and fill my body with the best nutrition possible, carry this on throughout my pregnancy, and now for breastfeeding. I hope to continue to teach Charlie the importance of exercise and good nutrtion. I want her to know that it is not just about filling her belly, but to really nourish her body the way only the best foods can!

What advice do you have for moms just starting their journey?

Empower yourself! Chat with people who are like-minded and share ideas, as this will help you glance over the discouragment of others. Do something every day that reminds you why you are making these choices! Be grateful for all of the good things in your life. Knowledge is powerful and we can do ANYTHING we set our minds to!

Anything else you would like to share?

Mindset is so important! You get to choose whether you see certain choices as a “setback” or just a step down the path of your own journey.

And SLEEP! Shamelessly and unapologetically. Any time you get the chance, go to bed early, sleep in, or take a nap! Your workouts, your body, your stress and your health will all thank you. 🙂
